Message The end tank is designed to disperse the air throughout the core relatively evenly. While inlets/outlets on the center (middle) of the end tanks might be slightly more efficient, it's simply not possible with the limited space we have without a lot of modification and cutting... wouldn't be worth it.

A good intercooler will not have very much pressure drop.
