If you had passed away and your spouse had to sell off your prized Z. Some random guy low-ball'ed her while she was in bind dealing with the death, bills and everything. I don't think you'd be happy if you knew.
Maybe it's just me. I would have told her I can't pay the money she was looking for and she should hang onto it until she finds someone who's willing to pay close to what the car's worth.
