If your car is properly tuned (meaning already setup with safety margins not pushed to the raged edge) then you don't need to add an octane booster to it as there is nothing to "fix". When you start mixing fuel types such as E85 and 93 octane your not just playing with differences in octane but also differences in energy content per gallon of fuel. E85 (110 octane) is less energy dense than 93 octane. That's why when you upgrade to E85 you have to have a fuel system capable of handling a lot more flow. 43.5 / 29.15 = 67% You would need about 33% more flow to equal the same amount of HP as 93 octane....and a big reason why E85 is so knock resistant and runs cooler.
