The mighty VG30deTT which to this day is banned from Imsa competion demed to be "too powerful". The VG'a main downfall was addressed by nissan with the introduction of an all aluminum VQ30deTT which they used successfully in they race cars for years till the VR came along. The LS2+'s are very respectable engines that can make and take a lot of power, but to me as far as engines I've built my list of favorite engines has to 1. VG-complicated, heavy duty, ahead of its time 2. Rotary engines are super simple, light, powerful, and meant for racing 3. RB-beefy with 6 itb's and true gt28's 4. 2J-simplified rb with a throttle body and sequential turbos 5. Sr-crazy potential in a little package 6. LS2+'s- big power, big engine, big gap in technology That's just my list
