three pieces, very pricey, but light weight...and you easily remove the pieces to access the car from the side. Nice! I use a low profile hydraulic jack on the differential after driving onto the ramps, then jack stands under the solid points for maximum lift. One warning! Chock the front wheels, because there's nothing holding the car from rolling once you jack the rear wheels up....and it will take you and your jack for a ride backwards down the ramp.
