The m5 is like a 540i turned into the feel of a z32 tt. Ive only ridden in both until i recently learned how to drive stick. We've had the 540 for about a year now, and it was *very* tempting to want to learn how to drive stick just to test the car out. When my dad would drive it, it would pull pretty hard on the freeway, and it was as luxorious as a.....540i :) When i first rode in the m5, it felt pretty much the same to ride in as the 540, but it pulled way harder and could handle way better. After driving the both of them, i wouldnt take the 540 over my z, but honestly, the m5 is like our cars but bmw's make. They are stiff in steering-->very responsive. Its actually much smoother and more easy to operate than the 540. And, even though it is a large bmw, for what it is, it still manages to have the small-compact-and tight feeling of a true sports car. All in all, its a beautiful machine...and with the technology these days, it hardly seems machine anymore=) Drop me an email. We'll hook up. Night all...
