Message The clutch grabbing at the top is typically incorrect pedal adjustment, or the bolts holding the pressure plate to the flywheel are loose. The noise could have been a bolt falling out.

I have not seen one of our pressure plates fail, but if that does turn out to be the case, I will take care of you.
