Subject	B&B cat-back - does this look right?

Message	I came across what looks to be a pretty good deal on a used B&B 2.5" catback, but the pics show was appears to be a short section of piping spliced in right before the flanges. My initial reaction was that it might have been a repair, but this pic shows that the "splices" looks almost identical between the two sides which makes me wonder if this might just be the way B&B builds them. For anyone who's seen a B&B 2+0 cat-back in person before, does this look normal?
