Message i'm thinking retaining the stock aluminum bracket then using something like this to replace the rubber:

would be easy to work with and cheaper than other solutions, brackets are already made from factory, just put putty in bracket and work it into the lines and let it harden up around it...if and when i need to uninstall the lines i could just use an exacto knife and cut into the rubber
