Message	likely get over exaggerated midbass and weak bass, assuming you actually get them to seal up well. If you want 5.25 or 6.5" speakers, the OEM brackets that VorpalZ posted are the best bet. Flat non-oem adaptor brackets are still better than hacking up the Bose enclosures for a larger driver. Here's my 4" component install. Beefy mids for a 4" set Had to remove the x-over cover to fit it in the enclosure: Had to make 3/4" thick MDF spacers to provide magnet clearance and adapt to the 4 bolt pattern: Installed w/ tweeters mounted on the panel that covers the mirror bolts (cheap/easy to replace if needed):
