Message	retrofitted 6.5" speakers into the stock BOSE enclosures in the doors on my turbo by butchering the enclosure to fit the speaker. Made it work with a dremel and some time, but not easy. Also pushes against the door panel a bit. Sounds fine, not spectacular. Running Infiniti KAPPA component speakers. For the convertible, I installed 6.5" speakers with the Nissan factory brackets in the doors: Both similarly amped through the same headunit (Nakamichi CD-500). Sounds as good as or better than the coupe. Easier install. Similar Infiniti KAPPA components. The key is you must run and external amp to power the speakers, or else they will sound like crap if driven off the head unit, regardless of brand or cost. I recommend the second install, easier and sounds great. Brackets are available from Nissan as well.
