Message Poorly engineered means the driveshaft always fails and you can't buy U-joints for it, climate control goes bad, fuel injectors fail like clockwork, differentials shell out, the top timing belt idler pulley snaps off and people ruin their engines, the constant 12v power fuel injector wiring harness catches on fire, the front tension rod bushings tear in half on every single Z ever produced, the tiny little water hoses underneath the intake manifold that are such a pain to get to always end up leaking, what other problems that regularly happen to dozens of 300ZX's do you want me to mention? Also, you failed to realize I said a 1000HP Z is no good on the street, I'd put an old V6 oldsmobile against one any day of the week for pink slips. In regards to GM, I am fully aware that GM production quality is not what it used to be, their trucks are still decent minus one transmission cooler line that always seeps at 50k plus, the smaller SUV's and cars tend to have a lot of problems (much cheaper to fix too though), I work on cars for a living and see this kind of stuff all the time. That makes no difference to me. I don't own a new one, mine was made in 1957.
