Message The manufacturer takes the orders that he knows he has and buys everything in bulk to reduce his purchase costs. That gets translated back to you to reduce your purchase cost.

If you get a refund he could fall out of that bulk discount area and lose the bulk price that he's already taken orders for, so he would end up having to pay out of pocket to get those orders finished. Also sometimes the money received in the Groupbuy is used to purchase a bulk set on his end.

Maybe what he should have done is just taken the difference to buy a regular price unit then keep stock of one lower priced bulk coilover for sale. But that's assuming he had stock before the groupbuy or he's planning on carrying stock after. If it's EOL product and this groupbuy is the final shebang, then carrying stock after is not an option.
