This is my cooling set up. -Stock radiator (clean condition) -New Nissan radiator cap -Stillen Oil cooler -Transmission is AT, I use the stock ATF cooler that is in the radiator. -All silicon radiator hoses. (Top and lower, heater core hoses and overflow). All the other coolant hoses are brand new hoses, either Nissan or fuel hoses. -Stock Nissan thermostat. Was new when installed, roughly 10k miles on it now. -Cooling system pressurizes with no leaks. I have a pressure tester and it keeps pressure no problem. -Coolant is Prestone pre mixed 50/50. -Fan blade was purchased brand new. -Aux Fan works. I've diagnosed it and it does come on and function properly. -I have the stock radiator shroud in place. -I have all the plastic fender liners and the lower belly pans in place. -Coolant is proper level both in radiator and overflow. I am not losing coolant. -Techtom MDM-100 to check water temp. The car has no problem with cooling at speeds. I have never actually overheated. Just sitting idle the temperature starts creeping up. Only thing left is the fan clutch. I removed it today and it is definitely bad since it spins rough (when I grab the clutch itself and spin the hub you can feel it hitching) and definitely does not spin the same as my NA clutch fan. I would have no problem ordering a aftermarket radiator, however, being an AT I do not want to figure out how to mount a cooler for the ATF.
I have nightmares about that happening...I'd be the poor bastard you'd hear about on the news that gets killed by a softball-size chunk while spreading out my body over the hood and screaming "Nooo!" (Having a conversation about hail damage) - BradZ (FL) on March 25, 2005 at 9:56 PM
Tell your friend that you could take a dump, light it on fire and that would be hotter shit than his car. Probes suck, that's just all there is to it. - 300ZXpert (someday) on April 04, 2005 at 11:35 PM P.S. You REALLY are on here at ALL hours! And I thought I was bad! :) - zmenon on August 16, 2005 at 3:06 AM LOL...2+2 drivers should grow mullets..."Business in the front...party in the back" ;) - BradZ (FL) on November 29, 2005 at 4:45 PM
