Message I don't doubt that AFR sensors/gauges give valuable information, especially for tuning. That is why I had them installed.
What I am saying is that, while driving, the constantly flickering/changing of the digital display, while mesmerizing, is useless as a real time tool.
It's like trying to make sense of a long list of 10 digit numbers versus looking at a pie chart or graph. The list of numbers is probably more precise, but the chart of graph makes it a LOT easier to understand what is happening.
I agree that we (I) have analog brains for visual clues. Some of the rental cars that I get for business have digital only speedometers which are very difficult to intuitively understand (how fast am I going compared to the present speed limit) in stop-and-go driving.

Further, as I stated in my original post, I am not questioning the quality of the AEM product. Just it's real time driving utility.
