Message It won't make a big turbo Z behave like a small turbo car. I'm curious as to whether anybody can give some data points about the before and after of quarter mile performance using a two step on a Z. Power shifting to keep a larger turbo car producing enough exhaust energy to spool the turbos quickly between shifts helps. But, I don't care how fast you shift, a big turboed Z, with manual trans is gonna be torque compromised after shifting. The available off boost torque is going to be low resulting in laggy turbos at shift. Here is the point I'm trying to make: You can get close to the same ET with smaller turbos vs biggies because of the available low end torque and off boost response.
