I have been thinking of using a Stainless Steel -8 (1/2") hardline from my pumps to the rails for e85

But just wondering if anyone has done this before.. Stainless steel being very robust.. I still am concerned about chaffing through of the lines.. I could buy some PTFE braided lines but they would be somewhat expensive and still some ptfe lines break down over time from ethanol use and clog injectors/filters..

Would a SS hardline be sufficient for an undercarriage exposed setup for a street car? Or I suppose I could slide some 5/8" heater hose over the 1/2 ss line to insulate the areas where it seems abrasion would be an issue. I was planning on running the lines through the stock fuel feed/return channel

Thanks!
