| at least from what I have read recently. The exiting exhaust is still expanding as it exits the cylinder thus has a greater pressure than the backpressure. Approx 5x more pressure if I remember correct. It should also have a high velocity as it exits the exhaust valve. The cooler cylinder temps are more a result of the turbo not working so hard, generating less exhaust heat. Therefore lower exhaust temps as well... Reduced chance to detonate. So the cooler exhaust temps/cylinder chamber are just a byproduct.
