Message To answer your real question KKroft: with the invention and refinement of all the modern breather mods, I DO NOT believe that the turbo NA has any significant performance advantage over the equally equipped TT.

Why? Well I have some more numbers....

My slicktop and my pearl convertible are basically identical except slicktop is standard compression, pearl is high compression. The gt28rs on slicktop now were originally on pearl. Both cars have full breather mods except for Stillen 2.5in exhaust. Both were dynoed with catless 3-2.5" test pipes. Both have 4.08 gears. Both are running the blitz sbc-id. Both were tuned by SZ in back to back years, same dyno.

I was super happy with the results on the turboed NA. However when we overlayed the dyno charts for the two cars, Greg did point out that, while the turboed NA did work pretty well, there is actually NO point on the chart where it beats the similarly equipped fully breathered standard compression car. He is correct. And of course the turboed NA is ultimately limited by boost. (I will dig out the dynos and post them here later)

Now my black convertible - turboed NA 350 rwhp, 350 rwtq on 94, stock block, injectors, manis and with all stock piping, 2.5 in TPs and DPs, z1 ICs and selin duals - is still a very fun street car and you can build it for "nothing" because the parts are cheap, available as "everyone" buys the breather mods, so ....

CLOSED For The SEASON :-(
