| Of course i understand that the car is a base model and the differences between all the various models. As I said, I almost bought one when they were brand new. I AM saying that there are some interesting facets to the slicktop, as I listed below for the OPs consideration. Sure they didn't sell a lot of them - nor did they sell a lot of purple or yellow cars, or even CRP at the time - but tastes do change over time. Some people like them, some don't. (truth be told I keep trying to figure out how I can buy Invader's purple TT out in Vancouver - i know most prefer black or red). I didn't buy my slicktops, (or my convertibles for that matter) because I think they are better than the TT, or to be part of some secret hush hush group, or because I think that they are some rare supercar, or superlight. I bought them because I like them. Each purchase has a story behind it. I don't particularly care what they are worth - they are not for sale. If that puts me in the minority, so be it :-)
