This isnt like the FRC C5 corvette which supposedly was implemented into the platform to accomodate the premium performance/track-oriented Z06 model. The slicktop was a base model, simple and plain. It was only rare because no one wanted them, and dealers weren't about to waste space on their lots for cars that weren't going to sell when the model range was already seeing dropping sales #'s.
