In the event of failure, the driveshaft can drop from the car and dig into the ground, or damage the transmission tunnel, exhaust, or other nearby components. The carrier bearing of a stock driveshaft acts as a safety measure to prevent damage, but this safety feature is eliminated when the driveshaft is replaced with a one-piece driveshaft. The CZP Driveshaft Safety Loop allows you to maintain that safety feature when installing a one-piece driveshaft."
