Message First off, this is a much better write up than what I posted. Im glad you had all of those extra pictures from the build was progressing. In true Tim fashion, you came through in the end...again :)

Things Id like to add: The person I bought the wheels from, I got from a TT.net add. While communication was excellent, the entire situation was a nightmare. I was promised theyd work fine with my my Z as they were on his Z without issue. These wheels had more issues than Sports Illustrated.

You (Woody) had taken on this project for so long, I completely forgot that they had put me under the impression that everything was going to be tacked together and that I may even be able to drive the car. Some of the powdercoated parts were haphazardly tossed in there and consequently got damaged. Thankfully they botched the powdercoating job to begin with and needed to be redone anyway. If thats any kind of silver lining.

As Woody had mentioned, missing parts were an ongoing issue. NOBODY knew what was missing until it was needed. That being said, wed have to order them and then wait for them to come in to be installed. Thankfully, Tim has the patience of a Buddhist monk, or I may have been pushing this car down I-25 to get it home. Some parts that went up missing: Various exhaust parts, Nismo shift knob (ended up finding in the glove box???), radiator, etc.

Again, as aforementioned, I have a lot of left over performance and OEM parts. Zemulator, a spare shift knob, NA wheels with just about brand new tires on them, a spare set of water pipes, a RPS segmented flywheel with about 200-300 miles on it, those USDM lights will be replaced with the JDM ones I have in storage, etc. Id *like* to get rid of these locally. Particularly with the smaller items. I was thinking I could bring one (at a time) to Z meets and have a small contest of some sort for the part. Coin flip, random number picking, doesnt really matter honestly. If someone NEEDS (double underline) something, they would take precedence.

Things to come: I want the paint redone. I had a battery blow up, and consequently gave me some abstract rust art in the engine bay. There are some small dings and scratches that need to get fixed. I was going to do this right away, but the toyo R888s pick up a lot of road debris. I dont want fresh paint when the tires are constantly throwing small pebbles across the body panels. Along with this means that until I replace the tires, the rotted spoiler (replacement is with the JDM tail lights), mouldings, and current paint will be hanging around until then. I have the RaceLogic Traction control system with launch control, Collegeboys suspension (Tein Flex with EDFC and the Umbrella air system), Timing belt covers, and a few other small things to get installed still as well. Ive gone almost 6 years without driving this car, so right now that is top priority :). Its really hard to stay into a build without being able to reap the fruits of your (Tim and SZs) labor for so long.

Last, but certainly not least....Tim, in a word, is awesome. Hes easy to get along with, patient, honest, tactful, and despite his indisputable expertise on these cars, astonishingly modest. If/when he leaves, I have NO idea what Im going to do with my Z if it needs anything beyond an oil change. Im simply not comfortable taking it anywhere else within a 1000 mile radius (Specialty Z is JUST over 1000 miles away). Thanks again Tim!
