| swap. I put it together in a hurry because Greg and Seb were coming to the region. That combined with some hubris after a couple of successful swaps led to a fiasco. The motor was a JDM import that I cleaned up but that had literally been sitting in my garage for 7 years. Once on the dyno it became apparent that I had failed miserably on doing a proper 6Ps before driving the car 200 miles to meet up with Greg and Seb. Boosted over 20 psi on the drive up for a couple of minutes untuned (this was a Franken car, I've got spares, yeah yeah it was stupid). Long story short - they got it sorted out and the car runs fine, (actually it runs really really well). My point: old motor, rushed maintenance, boosted untuned, 200 mile run and no measurable damage. So unless you are really really unlucky, you are probably fine. As an aside: The SZ guys are great guys, and my two convertibles passed with flying colors. The slicktop? Let's just say I haven't seen them swear out loud at a customer, but they each certainly have a "WTF man ?!" look that they reserve for BadZOwners.
