disconnect, so I disconnected it and taped it up tight against the harness to pull it through. However, there was a grey "connector" attached as well. I did not know what this was for when I was pulling the harness through the firewall. My old harness didn't have anything like it so I assumed it was for an automatic or something. I cut each wire, taped it and got it through to the cabin.
I emailed Bernie about that this morning and he said it's used for signal noise reduction and is self contained... I think meaning it doesn't plug into anything. I asked him if it's advisable to reconnect the wires to that plastic piece but he hasn't yet had a chance to respond.
