with only 25k original miles and I have removed a few things just to check the plastics and they look like new white connectors and they aren't brittle, the connectors on the engine are like new, I mean everything looks as it came out of the factory line. In the other hand I have another 1990 that hasn't been stored in the garage most of its life and everything looks different than my other Z, brittle yellow plastics, having a car garage kept not taking any abuse from the sun it does make a huge difference.
Been I 1990 I can understand having bugs, most of the new cars during their first production years tend to have bugs, but if isn't going to be a DD car I would worry much about it, I won't be using my lower mile Z mush as I want to keep it like that, but the previous owner from my other z took care of some issues so I hope not to have much trouble wit it, I bought that one in 04.I would consider the 1990.
