I'll be getting basically a full twinz body kit(rear bumper, kaminary side skirts with twinz side lips) but the the front bumper will be a jdm with twin z lip also, now my z has oz mitto 17 wheels and is stock. I'm considering lowering the car but I don't want to go much as I'm not a fan of slammed cars, was thinking maybe 1.5", just want to do it tastefully for me. A question I have since I'm not a suspension expert, what is the lowest I can go with out starting to eat the tires, I don't want to spend a ton of $ on lowering the car since I'm just interested in looks for my na, not track or anything, just a weekend or every day use car. I was thinking the lowest I would like to go is between 1.5" to 2" the most, can I achieve this just by replacing shocks and springs, if so what would be a good combo? My biggest fear is tire wear, is this a problem if I go that low or should I stay stock instead? Tire wear is allays going to happen no matter how stock I stay? I know I will get tire wear stock, I'm talking out of the ordinary tire wear, don't want to be replacing tires to often, would like to replace tires as normal as possible.I ask because back in the 90's I had a jetta that I lowered (can't remember by how much)and my tires were bold withing 9k miles. I might go 18's in the near future I hope and keep the 17's for my other z, might be lowering that also as both are stock. Thanks in advance for any help. BTW, would be nice if u guys can post a pic of your Z with what u have and how low it is so I can have idea how it looks.
