| You need to have AFR targets mapped out. But you need to already have a good tune because the adjustment is limited by certain percentage. I don't use that feature. Never found it useful or easy to use. I had a GM boost solenoid for awhile. I replaced it with Profec B spec 2 and have never missed the stand alone's built-in boost control feature. For trim control module, I used a potential meter. No need to spend a lot of money when you can get one from Radioshak for $2 that does the same thing.
