Message The ATI dampener is a good way to go, but I have recently been converting people back to a stock pulley removing the widely used UR UD pulley. I found that do to having to over tighten the belts to keep them from squeaking, it pulls up very hard on the front of the crank causing the front main bearing to wear unevenly, slowly running debris through the motor over time, slowly eating the rod bearing aswell... granted it takes a good 60-70k to probably need new bearings (depending on oil type and interval changes - could be shorter or longer time frame) but just not worth it to me and I dont recommend using them at all anymore... Tomorrow I am pulling the bearings out of a car that only had about 20k of use on the customers UR UD pulley so i can finally see the "short term" effects of an undampened pulley. However, the stock pulley can do the job very well, especially on built motors since most are well balanced during the machining process and the added weight gets closer to a lightened flywheel and clutch weight giving better or more even dampening. The ATI dampener is good at what it does but I have recently had a customer go back to the stock pulley after having an ATI on and said the motor felt much smoother after the swap back to stock. This may be a rare case of how his engine operated, but still something to consider and think about. Anyhow, I will post up the pics of the low mileage wear tomorrow.

take care and happy driving everyone!
