Message These two videos provide fascinating insights into the early teething problems encountered while designing and building a brand new type of Formula I engine... a V6 twin turbo. Problems w/ metal fatigue, ignition timing, cam sensors, spurious ignition signals, injector pulsewidth, and engine control units all need to be sorted out for the very first time as engineers make the move from NA to turbo programs. Seeing how these guys approached the same problems we face today offers valuable knowledge on how our VG engine was designed.

Anyone who has played with our standalone engine management systems will enjoy watching these top notch engineers in the mid eighties laying the groundwork for our twin turbo engines.
