Message I was just curious..

I look on other engines.. that are cast iron and I see that they aren't really "needed".. because the distorsion is so minimal on an iron block.

On aluminum.. yes.. I would absolutely 100% use a torque plate.

Cast iron.. I would see the heads doing the major amount of flex.

Just wanted to see how many out there have built motors without them and their results.

Hell.. for the longest time JWT was pretty much one of the only places that had a VG30 Torque plate.

And there has been VG's built for years..
