even on 91 octane the power increase from just tuning is insane. On 94 octane he is looking at a minimum 100 torque gain in the lower RPM's. The 2012-2014 models come tuned to high 9 to low 10 A/F. The factory tune also limits boost in the lower RPM, max boost is only 13 PSI. On 94 octane it can easily make 19 to 20 PSI boost. The ECUTeK software once installed, allows the cruise control buttons (when cruise is off) to increase and decrease boost on the steering wheel controls. Boost target is displayed on the factory gauge for 3 seconds any time you make a change in boost. We can install up to 4 tunes running the factory ECU, we can set the max limits for boost on each mode so the driver can not select more boost on each program than the tuner allows the targets to be set. ECUTek also allows the factory ECU to read a ethanol content sensor that allows us to make the GTR true flex fuel, we can adjust tables for boost, timing, air/fuel, that adjust based on ethanol content, so you can mix any amount of E85 or pump fuel and the ECU will compensate once we set it up. Once it is set up for flex fuel, the factory digital temp gauge will show the ethanol content for 3 seconds when changing maps. These are just a few things, we can make any type of custom maps with the ECUTek software, we can limit boost/timing based on any condition we want to set it up for, if fuel pressure drops, if oil pressure drops, if the temp gets too high, ect.... The tools even allow you to build your own traction control maps, you can even set up different maps that are changed on the steering controls for different amounts of traction control aggressiveness. The flexibility the software offers the tuner is amazing and it all works on the factory ECU.
