Message	right now. Sounds like Pontiac was a fair trade. The better answer is the question the author poses: "But the question is; was it really Uncle Sam? Or did GM — with Bob Lutz — inadvertently kill Pontiac by forcing it into irrelevance with re-badges of other GM vehicles?" If Pontiac was suddenly poised to flourish, the technology was all still there within the company. There is no reason why they couldn't just slap a chevy badge on this mysterious new Pontiac technology that no one's heard of until now.
