| Just because you can't wire shit neatly, doesn't mean others can't. ;) For the record, the V1 in my car is tapped off the cigarette lighter which only sees duty charging my phone. I also did run a fresh wire (fused at the battery) for certain other things (Innovate Motorsports wideband, gauges, datalogger, and thermocouple module). For something as simple as a radar detector, I wouldn't waste the time. For something more critical, yes I would say take a fresh run or add in your own fuse box.
