Message	Do you own or rent? I really want to build a giant shop with a bachelor's pad living quarters up stairs but land here in California is ungodly expensive. Not the mention the hoops the city and or county make you jump through to get permits. I have friends in every single trade so all I'd need to do is find a reasonably priced piece of land and pay for the material. After working in the trades for 5+ years it's sickening to see what people have to spend to build or remodel their homes.
