Message	that the separate grounds are used to measure voltage deltas by the unit. Pretty sure when I installed this the last time, the manual listed the steps on separating the grounds on the same line - you should recheck your instructions. Since they're quite explicit on doing this, I would follow the manufacturer's recommendation. -jb
