Message "Does it take 'the best' shop in Texas to pull a motor, take off your bumper to install your ic piping, plug in your ecu and install some gauges?"

Of course not. But I never made that claim. I never said, "What is the best shop in Texas, because only the best shop in Texas is capable of installing my parts." I wanted to know everyone's opinion because I wanted a shop who was not only capable of installing the parts, but also competent and delivered a high level of service. I want to be able to drop my car and parts off, agree on a scope-of-work and price, and return to a fully-modified Z car.

"If so I've performed this task countless times with much success."

What's your point? Are you claiming to be the best mechanic in Texas? Is this your sales pitch? Or, are you saying that lots of people are capable of performing the work I'm interested in? Again, capability is not the only metric I'm evaluating.

"The question you need to ask yourself. Why and who recommended those specific parts, and will i[t] benefit you or them. Where's the maximum gain, your car or their pocket?"

A variety of people recommended these parts. Obviously the manufacturers recommended them; they sold them to me (Ash Powers, Greg Dupree, Brett Dempsey, Mike Smith). But more importantly, a variety of parties without a vested interest in selling me parts recommended them. Some of them were from this forum, some from the sister forum, some just made a personal recommendation. I assimilated the information I gathered on these parts (and other alternatives) and made a conscious decision to purchase them. Their utility is well-documented: La-Z-Link
La-Z-Link
Who will they benefit? Well, both of us. The manufacturers received my hard-earned money, and I received the parts that I valued at the selling price. It was essentially a transaction between a willing buyer and a willing seller. The maximum gain is allocated to both of us. They wanted my money and I wanted their Z parts. Capitalism at its finest.

"What's your expected hp gains?"

That’s hard to say because I don’t know what power level I’m at now. I would say with a proper tune - 400 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque is do-able on pump gas after the install and with my current mod list.

"What happens when you want more power?"

What a stupid question. I’ll add more money.

"Do you have to pull the engine again to install turbos on your msp's?"

Yes.

"I know of 2 mods that will make just as much whp if not more and will not require you to tear apart you car."

Fantastic.

"Best of luck sir."

Thank you.
