with how cheap parts are for honda, especially older ones, who gives a hoot if you have to touch it every so often. I owned a 1989 corolla 4wd wagon, rust edition, for about 3 years as my beater. $17 in fuel would last me about 2.5 days, ~300 kms. Had to be $17, because once i hit $18, the gas would leak out of the rusted tank. Cost of repairs over the 3 years: $12. Broke the battery terminal cause I'm so strong yo. personal mistake.
Cost of maintenance over the 3 years: $0. I reused my brothers old oil, and not once changed the oil filter. Justified the $400 I paid for it. Put over 100k on it, and got $300 back. It was unsafe as fuck though.
