it to my brother. But I noticed this summer that its got a tiny bit of rust starting on one rear fender ahead of the wheel. I can't say for sure but I think that his busy worklife and less priority for car stuff (ie. no detailing, minimal maintenance) may have been a factor. For example, I doubt those touchless carwashes would do anywhere near an adequate job of cleaning the crap out that builds above the lip of those fenders. I'm going to keep a close eye on our 2013 CX-9. Like many SUVs, it's got that plastic cladding everywhere all around the lower part of the vehicle. But specifically in the case of the fenderwells, its just a cover or liner overtop of the metal fender, which could serve to mask rust problems as they develop (a pro or a con, depending on one's perspective).
