Message	do it before you put in the clutch pedal and you have all that extra room. Took me...wow, not long at all. The clutch pedal took me longer until I had a friend who can hold the cylinder while I loosely bolted it up. It's a sinch, and much cleaner to install the OEM 5sp brake pedal. I've done the cut, but it never is perfectly centre'd. Plus, you get your interior dirty, and it gets dangerous to cut it as you have to pull back the guard of your grinder and you really have a weird lean. God forbid you fall sideways while the grinder/cutter is going off.
