Message :Apparently this valve doesn't do anything on the pressure since I have well over 60psi after warmed up.
:I could be wrong but I don't remember seeing any relief valve in the filter tree, not according to FSM either. FSM says two valves, one in the pump, another one in the block.

The FSM shows the oil cooler check valve on page 5 of the lubrication and cooling section:

If you remove the oil cooler fitting on the tree you'll find a spring and piston behind the fitting. This can be shimmed for more oil pressure, but at the expense of less flow to the oil cooler.
