| I do have the one that goes under the shifter area but my feet and right shin gets so hot it becomes annoying. I have a din pocket and I used to put my cell phone in it before, but now it gets so hot that my phone sometimes goes into thermal shutdown/safety mode. The reason why I am asking now is I'm about to park my Z to install bigger turbos and I'll have a chance to modify it so I won't have to drive everywhere with the A/C on. I already ordered some heat wrap, the only problem is I don't think it will be effective enough- I looked up some tests and the temperature difference is there but it's small, I would prefer to just reflect the heat away from the bottom of the floor pan I just wanted some suggestions/pictures of solutions/ideas. -I can buy the heat reflecting mats that have backing adhesive and stick it to the chassis -I can (and probably will) heat wrap my test pipes and downpipes -Fabricate some sort of heat shields ...... but where/how would I attach them? I don't want them loose under the car I would much rather put up with the heat over a rattle noise gee it would sure be nice if one of our vendors made a super effective exhaust heat reflecting KIT I could just bolt on ;)
*disclaimer*: all that I say may be true or I may be completely wrong and I accept that.... please, it is your duty as another person on the internet to impolitely tell me how wrong I am :) "The dreaded 2nd windshiled wiper swipe when you turn it off its almost like tis showing you that it's boss, and it doesn't have to stop when you tell it to :("-College Boy (discussion on ptu relocation) "No good reason to put it there anyway. -Bernie (NoVA) False -vorpalZ False. -Bernie (NoVA) You're correct, there are 3 good reasons -vorpalZ False. -Bernie (NoVA) Wow, right again, just remembered another, make that 4 -vorpalZ" XD
