Yes, it keeps moisture from getting trapped around the window and rotting out the metal. However, I don't see it being worth that price tag to me... I could easily fill the foid with a silicone and make it look decent, however I don't want to cut that big of a corner on a car I've put so much effort into. I understand how the oem rubber works and it "can" be used without pulling the glass. However, I'm not crazy about the oem trim, or the price behind it... people say just use the oem, and I am keeping the top and corners, however I'm looking for the strip ZXoltan mentioned. LivinTheDream pointed out the whole kit, but I'm not interested in blowing that much money into a f***ing trim peice that doesn't even seal anything, it just keeps water from settling in the gap. I'm not a purist, but I'd like to say I've only made tasteful mods.
