Well 6 months after a rebuild I am doing it again thanks to some questionable machine shop work. Basically after 6000 miles I have to change the passenger side head gasket. At first I was questioning my rebuild skills but the new machine shop (Precisionraceengines.com) confirmed the workmanship from the previous shop was not quality work per their experience. I had used the first shop before some time ago when I was hot rodding boats but the ownership change appears to have affected the work quality. Well enough of crying over spilt milk and moving on to the new build. :) Due to scratches in the cylinder wall it will require re-boring. Going forward I will be using Wiseco forged pistons and new bearings since I am already in the engine (again). Next I starting talking with my newest Z expert George at Custom Concept Motorsports, he recommended that I talk with the gentlemen at Speciality Z for clutch recommendations. Well I proceed and ended up talking with Greg @ SZ. What a great guy as most of you already know. Long story short I will be acquiring some new MS manifolds, 3" down pipes, Ash spec 2.5" piping and Massives, Nismo 740s, RPS segmented flywheel and Hi 5 clutch, SZ chip, and some other items. I am already smiling and can't wait for these items to arrive next week. Going forward I would like to ask the members of this forum for suggestions and/or comments on my build, or additional items to consider. Also I would like to receive pictures of plenums that have been powder coated, painted, or chromed as I am trying to clean up the engine bay a little more while trying to come up with a good color scheme. I will place my order on Monday with Greg so your comments would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!
