| I really posted this not to inquire IF I should rebuild it, but how and what, if any tips would anyone like to share..... from experience. I feel that although the engine feels good, I have not done a compression test/ oil analysis/ oil pressure test (it reads about 1/8" past the middle hash mark which I would assume is about 40 psi) fully warmed up at 3000rpm..... but I don't think I need to test these things because I would prefer to rebuild before I start slapping more power on it. As much as I would like to leave it alone, I don't like the idea of spinning a bearing..... I already did that once when I was a kid and I would be disappointed to throw away another good crankshaft if it happens again. If a compression test turned out good, is that all I should do??? just replace the bearings? I haven't checked yet but is there a decent write up on how to do it? (considering I've never done it to ANY engine before) or should I pester an expert to assist me. I appreciate you guy's input up to this point.
*disclaimer*: all that I say may be true or I may be completely wrong and I accept that.... please, it is your duty as another person on the internet to impolitely tell me how wrong I am :) "The dreaded 2nd windshiled wiper swipe when you turn it off its almost like tis showing you that it's boss, and it doesn't have to stop when you tell it to :("-College Boy (discussion on ptu relocation) "No good reason to put it there anyway. -Bernie (NoVA) False -vorpalZ False. -Bernie (NoVA) You're correct, there are 3 good reasons -vorpalZ False. -Bernie (NoVA) Wow, right again, just remembered another, make that 4 -vorpalZ" XD
