Message particular car. Parts for the convertible frame are no longer available and what has been done with that car does not sound right.

I can tell you that every Z32 convertible I have ever ridden in (a lot) leak a little bit. The harder it rains, the more it leaks right where the two frame pieces that come together in the middle of the side windows. They will leak down onto your leg. Not a big deal since riding with the top down is done 90+% of the time, does not bother me at all. Do not ever go into an automatic car wash though, with the pressurized washes you will get very wet. The weatherstripping can be replaced but it will still leak

The trunk/convertible buttons work according to which one is open/closed by design. If the trunk lid is open the convertible top buttons will not work. If the convertible top cover is not locked in place the trunk will not work.

Stereo-wise there are only two speakers, one in each door. Anything above that will be custom. You can search my post history if you want to see a custom install.

As far as having a convertible, yes it's awesome. I am on my second one after unintentionally destroying the first one if that tells you anything. Like I said though, I would pass on this one. You will probably not come across one locally that will pass on what you are looking for, the most important being the mechanical/electrical part of the convertible top being in good order. Everything else can be fixed, but if you're screwed on the top you're screwed on the entire car basically. Both my cars came from 500+ miles away and that's after having asked lots and lots of questions and shown just as many photos. If you really want a convertible Z32 be patient about it and be prepared to travel a bit, just buying one as a rolling shell project car is a TERRIBLE idea. One in pretty good condition will probably cost in the $7000 - $9000 range. Every once in a while I'll see one in the $5000-$6000 range that's a good deal, anything lower than that and you are probably looking at major headaches.

Hope this helps.

Randy
