Message Recommend going with a Jdm engine. Before the flaming about Jdm engines begins I'd like to say I've had success with plenty of vg's, rb's, sr's, 2j's, 3sgte, h22's, etc. etc. and even rotary's. You just need to know what to do.
To the engine:
120k kit
All seals and gaskets
Egr delete
New knock sensor
Rear main seal
Oil pump
Deletes and re routes

Switch over all the mods and other good sensors and parts from your old engine, like injectors, turbos etc. You can paint parts, delete, re-route, and do it how you want to.

Also when you first get the engine put a cap full of ATF in each cylinder and rotate the engine slowly to help re condition the cylinder walls and rings. Drive the first 500 miles like you were breaking in a fresh engine, at 500 miles change the oil and start easing into it. Have your z ready for the engine to be dropped in before the jdm engine arrives so you can install and still be protected by there 30-90 day warranty. Save your receipts for the new parts cause that's part of the warranty too. Warranty was easy the time I had to do it, I just sent them a video and my receipts and they sent me another engine, and they didn't even want the old one back. Replaced some lifers and it was good.
It will start a bit ruff but will balance out in the first 5 mins
if your harness is a little ruff than replace that as well.
