Pauter is in a realm all its own. I like Pauter tremendously and would put it up against any traditional I and A beam design any day. But if we are to compare design in strength assessments...a ridge beam will never be as strong as an H-beam. The fundamental design of the Hbeam is the most stout one can have outside a parabolic rod made of titanium.
The Pauter though is the ONLY windage fighting rod on the market and is one of the lightest. Pricing leans on the higher side of the spectrum but puts the unit in the cush between cost to design benefits which I feel is quite approoriate.
