Message - Put an even layer of silicone on one part (usually the removable, as it's easier to operate on it), about 1 millimeter thick (depends on the size and the flatness of the part, should be more for the oil pan).
- Dont put silicone on the edge, stop before.
- Put a very thin layer on the other part.
- Presse both parts together and screw them slightly (very low torque) but evenly.
- Wait about 1 hour until the silicone has started to harden and torque to specs.

Sometimes I had to disassemble the parts for some reasons and could confirm that the sealing was perfect : neither too much not to little silicone, the sealant thickness not being too thin.
