it makes working on other cars laughable. I find it amusing when I go to do maintenance on one of my other vehicles and a quick look on the internet for a tech doc that's full of 'you have to remove this' or 'you have to do that' and I look at it like WTF are you wasting time on doing that? You're definitely not intimidated by the underhood of any other car once you've spent some time working on this thing. You develop quite a set of tricks working with standard tools in order to do some routine things on our car that translate well on others.
The flipside is also funny to me, opening the hood of my car at a gathering of domestic guys and they have no idea what they are looking at besides the engine mess is crammed in there. 'How the fuck do you work on this thing?'
